Ramaker & Associates provided construction drawings for this three story, 31,000 square foot, 74-unit senior housing development. The construction drawings included ADA accessibility, balcony design, entry canopy, sanitary and HVAC design, site grading and parking lot design, lighting, landscaping, retro-fitted trash chute, and beauty salon design. Ramaker & Associates also performed a geotechnical study on the site.
Ramaker & Associates was the supervising professional for construction and provided all necessary detailing, schedules, and specifications for construction purposes. In addition, Ramaker & Associates submitted the final building and site plans and all necessary calculations to the Wisconsin Department of Commerce for review and approval. Ramaker & Associates was also contracted to design a new parking lot lighting plan for this housing facility. The design directs all lighting away from public streets and was designed not to exceed 3 foot candles at the property line.
Lodi All Stop Plaza

Ramaker & Associates provided building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and site improvement services associated with an expansion to an existing convenience store and restaurant area. The addition of approximately 2,500 square feet allowed the Owner to bring in new displays and reorganize the retail space along with adding much needed seating for the restaurant’s customers.
Two significant events for this project involved the design of a new fire wall and support beam. The new fire wall was installed between the existing restaurant and merchandise area, maintaining the openness in a hallway, while ensuring life safety with the use of a fire door shutter. A 25 foot opening was designed into an existing structural supporting wall allowing the beam to be installed as a roof support.
Stratford Place

Ramaker & Associates provided building design, civil, structural engineering and associated construction administrative services for this three story, 26,000 square foot, 54 unit luxury apartment building with underground parking. Master planning services were provided which included schematic designs for the developer to review and consider, once a design was approved, we assisted the developer with planning and council meeting for the City of Baraboo.
A (PUD) Planned Unit Development was pursued through the city allowing us to put 54 units on one property instead of the 4 units that it was zoned as. Major building components include: underground parking, a mix of one and two unit luxury apartments, privacy balconies, brick facade and cut-off parking lot lighting. Stratford Place is set to open in January of 2010.

Ramaker & Associates provided the design of a new pool facility building approximately 3,648 sq.ft. in size and included an approximately 40 sq.ft. connector link between the existing building and the new pool facility in the Town of Winfield, Wisconsin. The project scope included developing building construction plans and specifications; determining structural loads and distribution conditions; and designing for potable hot and cold water domestic system including pipe insulation and requirements.
Metropolis Hotel & Waterpark
Eau Claire, Wisconsin
This new 100-room hotel and attached 30,000 square foot waterpark will make a unique entertainment complex in Eau Claire. Action City currently provides 55,000 square feet of entertainment for all ages with go-karts, bumper cars, laser tag, mini-bowling, a climbing wall, batting cages, and mini golf, 85 arcade games and more! An indoor sports arena and convention and catering facility within the hotel will also draw visitors to the area.
Ramaker & Associates designed the mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems for the waterpark and the hotel. The hotel is heated and cooled with water source heat pumps. To make the MEP system more efficient, the system was designed to allow excess heat from the hotel to be channeled into the waterpark for heating the pool water.

Three Bear’s Lodge and Conference Center is a combination conference center and 106-room hotel with an attached 48,000 square foot Yogi Bear-themed waterpark. The convention center has two full-service kitchens, a gourmet restaurant, spa and 17,000 square feet of conference space. With the diversity of its amenities, this camp-resort truly appeals to a large variety of guests, from families to business executives.
Ramaker & Associates designed the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for the hotel and conference center as well as the waterpark. They also provided aquatic design and engineering services for the waterpark.

Candlewood Suites

Ramaker & Associates designed the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for this new 88-room, 4-story hotel.
Each hotel room is equipped with an in-room PTAC unit with electric heat and an individually controlled bathroom exhaust. These features allow guests to have direct comfort control of their rooms, while providing for energy efficiencies.
Ramaker & Associates also designed the HVAC system in the 2,000 sq. ft. pool natatorium that utilizes a new energy efficient dehumidification system to provide for a comfortable humidity and temperature atmosphere for hotel guests.
