Interior Design Services Provided by Ramaker & Associates for Local Girl's Wish!

We are honored for the opportunity to give back and work on our first ever Make-A-Wish Wisconsin project for a little girl in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin! The project included interior design for a library room makeover in the family's home. This little girl and her family were looking for a quiet place to read and do artwork, both things she loves.The creativity of our interior design staff and the construction talents of Williams Property Solutions truly made this family's dreams come true.

In addition to design work, we had several employees volunteer their time and talents making the specialty sized seat cushion and installing all the room items in advance of the reveal. This all came about from a Facebook post from a Make-A-Wish worker who a Ramaker employee had a connection with, and we got involved from there!

Ft. Myers Beach, Fla. – June 8, 2018 – TPI Hospitality and Margaritaville Holdings today announced they have entered into a partnership to develop a new 254-room Margaritaville Resort at the entrance to Fort Myers Beach, in the popular Times Square district. Designed with a clear focus on maintaining the authenticity and charm of the local area, the ‘casual-luxe’ resort will sit on seven acres of beachfront land, with direct access to the white sand beaches and stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico. The property will boast low-lying open-air buildings that protect neighboring views, a walkable assortment of signature Margaritaville food and beverage concepts, entertainment venues and more. Many of the buildings will be located on the bayside of Estero Blvd., which leaves a beachside with lush landscape and breathtaking Gulf panoramas.

“TPI has been working for three years with members of the local business community, as well as our friends and neighbors who are residents of Fort Myers Beach, to create a plan that truly embodies a shared vision for the future of this site,” said Tom Torgerson, chairman of TPI Hospitality. “We received valuable creative feedback along the way and we are excited with where the evolved plan has landed and looking forward to the future. Our alignment with Margaritaville ensures this one-of-a-kind resort will perfectly embody the look, feel and charm of its island community.”

Featuring Margaritaville’s signature, island-inspired design elements, each guestroom at the new Margaritaville Resort in Fort Myers Beach will have a private balcony, most with Gulf views. The resort will serve up several signature Margaritaville food and beverage concepts, including a LandShark Beach Club with a 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill, a beachside LandShark Bar & Grill, a Coconut Telegraph Coffee Shop on the pedestrian bridge over Estero Blvd. and a JWB Bar and Grill on the second level. This upscale, 100-seat beachside restaurant will have a glass-enclosed, air-conditioned dining room with panoramic views of the Gulf and feature a décor reminiscent of Estero and San Carlos Island’s rich history.

On the bay side of Estero Blvd. will be an elevated, 22,000 square foot License to Chill Terrace with unobstructed views of the Gulf. The resort lobby, meeting spaces and St. Somewhere Spa will open up to the Terrace with glass walls. This lushly landscaped Terrace will have a three-meal-a-day restaurant, along with intimate social gathering areas including fire pit seating, outdoor island games, hammocks and more. The Live Life Like a Song retail store, also located off the Terrace, will showcase a collection of Margaritaville products including apparel and footwear for men and women, home décor and more – making for an exciting addition to the downtown shopping area. Offering a perfect view of the sunset over the Gulf, the resort’s main ballroom will be 5,000 square feet clear span with glass walls that open up to the elevated Terrace.

More details will come in the coming weeks and months, with a planned opening slated for Q1 2021.

DIVE INTO Swimming at the JCC

On June 4th, the St. Paul JCC opened their new Aquatic Complex to an eager community! This will be the perfect place for people of all ages to enjoy recreation and exercise in the water. Incredible!

The Travel Channel recently came out with their “8 of the Most Incredible Indoor Water Parks” in the US and three of eight of the are designed by Ramaker & Associates!

The newest addition to the Texas landscape, EPIC Waters, has been open a mere two months and has hit capacity multiple times (follow their Facebook page to keep up to date on availability and ticket specials). The 80,000 SF waterpark includes six (6) WhiteWater waterslides; a FlowRider; activity pool with play features; wading pool with a multi-level play structure; small features and play areas for young children; offerings for both children and adults; lazy river with beach entry; and a wave pool.

The waterpark building program also includes an OpenAire retractable roof and wall systems; movie screens, video and projection equipment; LED light displays/features; party rooms; snack bar and restaurant; sports bar; retail store; arcade; cabanas; landscaped outdoor space with beach and deck areas; locker rooms and bathroom facilities; lifeguard staff area; building mechanical area and pool equipment rooms. The pools and features design were developed in a manner that complements and is cohesive with these components.

Timber Ridge Lodge (Lake Geneva, WI) showcases other aspects of our design work.  This facility sports the northwoods feel in 50,000 SF of indoor and outdoor water park. It includes 35 foot high slides taking you on a 300 foot adventure of twists and turns, ending in a heated pool.

The Wilderness (Wisconsin Dells, WI) is comprised of multiple indoor and outdoor parks across the resort with different themes such as the Lost World Waterpark, Wild West Waterpark, Klondike Kavern, and Wild Waterdome. This vast assortment of over 200,000 SF of indoor rides and outdoor fun across nine acres, comes with a variety of interactive rides, slides, cannons, turrets, water blasters, multi-level play features, and a wave pool.

STARTING THE YEAR OFF RIGHT

Excited and overjoyed barely begin to describe how we are all feeling this week. On Monday night, several of our senior management represented Ramaker & Associates at the local Sauk Prairie Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Dinner and Banquet. This year the event was held at the brand new Vintage Brewing Company in Sauk City - a new addition to the Sauk Prairie area which Ramaker had the privilege of designing!

As it is January, it’s the time of year to recognize great effort by many. We were just blown away when we won the TOP AWARD for the evening being named BUSINESS OF THE YEAR! The award is for a local business that has experienced significant growth, community engagement, employee retention and innovative business practices. We had some tough competition from local friends and neighbors and are humbled that others find something appealing in who we are and the way we conduct ourselves. We know this wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible effort and commitment of each and every Employee-Owner of this great firm.

Congratulations to all the evening’s winners. We are proud to be part of this amazing community. This is definitely a wonderful way to start off the year and we won’t forget it!

Ramaker is excited to announce the opening of a new office located at 123 Broadway in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey! With key members of the Ramaker team residing in New Jersey and its close proximity to valued clients, this strategic location allows Ramaker to strengthen its presence in the northeast.

Less than 10 miles from the Hudson, we have situated our new office location to be convenient to the NYC Metro area. The new office is currently undergoing construction to create a layout more conducive to our staff. Tom Wiseman, Director of Northeast Business Operations, who has been working diligently to increase our presence in the area, will lead this location. Silver Anniversary!

Founded in 1992 with a staff of five, Ramaker & Associates, Inc. (Ramaker) began with knowledge and a passion for engineering. Since then, Ramaker has grown to become a leader in providing quality service and support to our clients. We are now a full-service architectural and engineering firm with a dedicated staff of professionals. We perform work nationwide and have the technical expertise and experience that allow us to provide cost-effective solutions individually tailored for each client. Our staff includes professional engineers, architects, project managers, trained technicians, land surveyors, water resources specialists, GIS programmers/analysts, hydrogeologists and wetland scientists.

Twenty five years later, we are happy and humbled to still be here, still growing, still serving our clients. After all this, we thought it was time for a celebration so, we’re having a party!!! Not only are we turning 25 this year but it’s also the 10th anniversary of becoming an ESOP.  To celebrate, we’re inviting all our friends and neighbors to join us for a party.

New Team Member – Lucas Berg

Ramaker’s Environmental Team welcomes their most recent hire, Lucas Berg. Lucas received his B.S. in Geology & Geophysics from University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to joining Ramaker, Lucas studied and designed various land and water conservation practices including soil erosion control, manure storage, and earthen dam design for watershed management and agricultural projects. Lucas also conducted research using column chemistry in an isotope geochemistry laboratory setting, and assisted local and state agencies with resolving local natural resource problems.

When Lucas is not in the office or out in the field, he enjoys hunting and fishing. Lucas also enjoys travelling throughout the U.S. and internationally.

NEW ENVIRONMENTAL HIRE - MARK PITTENGER

Ramaker’s Environmental Team welcomes their most recent hire, Mark Pittenger. Mark received his B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Michigan Technological University. Prior to joining Ramaker, Mark conducted surveying, design, and construction inspections for wetland restoration and agricultural engineering projects. Mark also worked with pilot-scale remediation technologies firsthand in a laboratory setting, and worked in close collaboration with state and federal agencies to ensure that project goals were met while adhering to program requirements and standards.

When Mark is not in the office or out in the field, you will likely find him outside! Mark is passionate about astronomy, biking, cross-country skiing, and hiking. Mark also enjoys reading, watching movies, and cooking, and has recently started brewing his own beer.

Wisconsin DNR WAM Contractor Services RFP Awarded to Ramaker

The Wisconsin DNR selected Ramaker & Associates, Inc. through a competitive procurement process to perform environmental site assessments for Wisconsin Assessment Monies (WAM) award sites.

Through US EPA Brownfields Assessment Grants, Wisconsin DNR hires environmental consultants to perform site assessments at brownfields sites throughout the state. DNR’s WAM program allows municipalities to apply for funding to evaluate environmental conditions at brownfields redevelopment sites. The funding may be utilized to perform Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs, and limited site investigation work and is performed by a Wisconsin DNR selected contractor.

Ramaker’s environmental team is based out of Sauk City, Wisconsin, and includes geologists, environmental engineers, hydrogeologists, hydrologists, biologists, and environmental specialists. Ramaker performs Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and site investigations for proposed redevelopment sites throughout the country. Ramaker’s environmental team coordinates closely with other service groups within the company to provide a broad range of services including geotechnical investigations and property condition assessments. Working as part of a larger team, Ramaker’s environmental team is able to assist with real estate transaction and site development needs including surveying, civil site design, and various environmental issues through construction management and contaminated material handling.

Award Winning Design

A great big congratulations to our project partners at Dora Hospitality! They received the IHG® (InterContinental Hotels Group) 2015 New Development Design Award for the new Holiday Inn Bismarck hotel in Bismarck, North Dakota. This award is given to hotels that are considered the best in class providing exemplary brand design, quality of construction, and attention to detail.

We have always enjoyed working with Dora Hospitality and truly appreciate it when our partners are recognized for their exceptional work.

The Holiday Inn Bismarck is one of only 23 properties selected from the company’s more than 4,900 hotels. The hotel was recognized during the 2015 IHG Americas Owners Conference in San Francisco, Calif., Sep. 30 – Oct. 2, 2015, held at Moscone West Convention Center.

Welcome Home

Our new home in Sauk City!

After 17 years at the Dallas Street location, we have up and moved just down the street to 855 Community Drive. Though we will miss our home of so many years, the move was needed to house our ever-growing and expanding group of professional staff.

We were bursting at the seams at our old location and went searching for something to fit our needs and budget. We were able to purchase a building nearby and started working on the plans to renovate it for our own use. All design was in-house and our team did a fabulous job in turning words and visions in to plans, construction and finishing touches.

Our Civil department pulled off a beautiful site design. The structural department provided the framework for the architectural staff to creatively work with. Our mechanical systems not only fit our needs today but they are designed to expand with us into the future. The goal was for our facility to look and feel “crisp and professional” and our interior designer pulled that off to a tee. It is amazing how each and every aspect was pre-planned, prepared for, and then implemented.

Our CEO wanted everyone to be involved and requested anyone who had ideas or input to say so. This all started well before our actual designs were starting and continued throughout the design and construction process. All ideas were seen as important and considered. Some were incorporated and some were not. It just goes to show how personally vested everyone has been.

Even after design, our employees were excited and involved. From planning logistics, to packing, to putting furniture together, to setting up workstations and more, everyone at Ramaker jumped in to help.

Our new office home is bright and airy, with room for growth. There’s more office space, break room space, and parking space. We have commuter bikes for lunchtime errands or just a brief getaway from the office. There are splashes of color and abundant plant life everywhere. And the entrance…..just wow!

After all this, it’s time to party! Join us in moving on to bigger and better things at our Open House event on Wednesday, November 4th at 5:00 pm.
