WHAT IS YOUR ROLE AT RAMAKER?
I currently work in Accounting, assisting with daily functions such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Invoicing.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WORKING AT RAMAKER?
18 years in October technically (I started as a temp!), end of November officially
WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT WORKING AT RAMAKER?
I like the variety every day. I never know exactly what I’ll being doing as I start each day!
WHAT’S THE MOST INTERESTING THING YOU’VE WORKED ON AT RAMAKER?
In my many years here, I’ve worked on numerous interesting projects. I think so far one of the most interesting for me was working on a survey crew for a few months. It was a great experience seeing what our owners go through when they’re out in the field every day, overnights and for weeks at a time. Plus, it was great exercise and a nice change of pace from always being in the office.
WHO HAS HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE?
My fiancé and my Mom and Dad. They have all taught me about improving myself and pushing the limits of what I think I’m capable of.
WHAT’S SOMETHING THAT HAS SURPRISED YOU ABOUT YOUR CHOSEN CAREER PATH?
I never knew when I started in 2001 that I would get the chance to experience so many different areas of the company throughout the years.
HAVE YOU EVER LIVED ANYWHERE OUTSIDE THE MADISON AREA?
During college, I lived in Ashland, WI and spent one summer living in College Station, TX with my Mom. Other than those times, I’ve always lived within an hour of Madison.
ARE YOU MARRIED, DO YOU HAVE ANY KIDS, PETS, ETC?
I’m engaged, and we currently have 2 furbabies, Gunnar and Zoey – they are our whole world!
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING OUTSIDE OF WORK?
Many years ago, summer was all about our 2WD truck pulling. Now I enjoy gardening, boating, fishing and swimming. Remodeling our house seems to be a hobby, though I’m not sure it’s always very enjoyable! 🙂
WHAT’S THE BEST THING TO DO ON A DAY OFF?
Relax down by the lake
IF YOU WON THE LOTTERY, WHAT’S THE FIRST THING YOU’D BUY?
An updated house and lots of trees for our property.
WHAT TYPE OF MUSIC GETS YOU TO SING ALONG?
Pretty much anything on the “Oldies” station – specifically 80s pop/rock, but most anything 90s or older! Or newer music with a great beat! Lady Gaga to Conway Twitty – I’m really not that picky!
WHAT’S THE BEST ADVICE YOU’VE EVER GOTTEN?
Be kind to others always – you never know what struggles someone else is facing at any given moment.
WHAT WOULD BE YOUR DREAM VACATION?
Going fishing/diving/snorkeling/swimming in clear waters with my finance. Enjoying the sun and sand. The destination is far less important than the company to enjoy it with. 😊
