North Segment Community Center Waterpark

The waterpark features a variety of aquatic experiences, including a slide plunge and activity pool, lazy river, wading and splash pool, therapy and lounge pool, and hot tub. A retractable OpenAire roof structure enhances the guest experience by bringing natural light and fresh air into the aquatic environment while allowing for year-round operation.

In addition to creating an engaging aquatic destination, Ramaker worked closely with the project team to support the facility’s sustainability goals. The aquatic systems were designed with energy efficiency in mind, including consideration of geothermal and other renewable energy opportunities, efficient pool equipment selections, and strategies to help reduce operational demands while maintaining a high-quality user experience.

The completed North Segment Community Center serves as a hub for recreation, education, wellness, and community gathering. Beyond the waterpark, the facility includes a gymnasium, walking track, craft room, lecture hall, elders kitchen, playground, office spaces, and home healthcare services. Outdoor amenities such as basketball courts, softball and volleyball facilities, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, frisbee golf, and a putting green further expand recreational opportunities for residents.

By combining innovative aquatic design, sustainable engineering strategies, and community-focused amenities, the North Segment Community Center has become a landmark destination that supports health, wellness, and connection for generations to come.
