Ramaker Named Top Workplace by the Wisconsin State Journal for Second Straight Year
MADISON, WI – For the second straight year, Ramaker has been awarded a Top Workplaces honor by the Wisconsin State Journal, ranking 3rd in the midsize category, up from 6th last year.
This year’s list includes 71 companies in Dane, Sauk, Columbia, and Rock counties that prioritize a people-centric culture and empowering employees to succeed. Ramaker’s mission is to enhance the lives of clients and employee-owners, and receiving this award reinforces all the work that has gone into building a positive company culture that allows Ramaker staff to thrive while delivering exceptional results for its clients.
The announcement follows another outstanding year for Ramaker. In 2022, the Ramaker team invited new challenges and honed their expertise in the aquatics and recreation, cemetery, commercial development, hospitality, multifamily development, renewable energy, restaurant and retail, and telecommunications industries, further solidifying the firm’s position as a one-stop shop for architecture and engineering projects of all scopes and sizes.
“Ramaker’s employee-owners have shown their dedication to furthering our mission, strengthening partnerships with clients, and doing exceptional work alongside fellow team members,” said Ramaker President Mike Pinske. “This recognition is a testament to their efforts and it’s an honor to be named a Top Workplace two years in a row. Looking ahead, I am confident in our employee-owners’ abilities to continue this trend. After all, Ramaker is a Top Workplace because we have top people doing incredible work.”
One of the biggest drivers of Ramaker’s success? Its Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). As a 100% employee-owned firm, every full-time employee is an owner, which means that when Ramaker succeeds, so does its staff, and vice versa. Giving employee-owners the chance to voice their opinions and get involved in decision-making ensures that the firm’s direction aligns with the goals of its biggest asset: its people.
The Top Workplaces list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage LLC. The confidential survey uniquely measures 15 culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization, including alignment, execution, and connection.
