THE LONG RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CIMS AND THE NAVAL ACADEMY

Having previously used a paper-based system to manage their cemetery records, the US Naval Academy Cemetery and Columbarium sought to modernize their records. After working with a consultant to create GIS maps of the cemetery in the late 1990s and early 2000s, the Naval Academy wanted a system to help keep their maps and data updated and easily accessible. To make this possible, they reached out to Ramaker.

Ramaker implemented CIMS Desktop for the Naval Academy in 2003, allowing them to easily access and manage their maps and data. This software kept their information up to date and easy to use for many years.

In 2021, new management wanted to upgrade and take advantage of the benefits of having their cemetery maps and data in the cloud. The Naval Academy made the decision to upgrade to CIMS Platinum. NAVAL ACADEMY UPGRADES TO CIMS PLATINUM

CIMS Platinum is Ramaker’s most advanced cemetery management product. This web-based application links cemetery data to Ramaker’s computerized GIS smart maps. CIMS Platinum’s user-friendly interface makes managing cemetery plots and updating records as simple as browsing the internet. This program is available for use on a PC, laptop, tablet, and smart phone, so users can update records while on the cemetery grounds.
